Gale took part in a modeling contest in Perth at the age of 18. Gale was the model for several years prior to her emergence in 1999, when Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy) hired her for advertisements. She continued to be employed as a model for the company until. In 2003 it was announced that it was announced that the Australian Tourist Commission hired Gale to represent Australia in Italy. Also, she was an expert in fashion for the Logies, which is an Australian TV award. In January of 2008, Gale announced her retirement of runway fashion after fifteen years. She also walked down the catwalk for the last time a few weeks later, during a David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. Her final outfit she donned Wonder Woman's dress from her Justice League of America movie that was never released. In March 2011, Gale was back on the runway and closed Alex Perry's 2011 Melbourne Fashion Festival show.
